I want to add that it's nothing personal against anyone if you like DP. I just have a different view of what IMHO racing should be.

I know what people mean when they say I want to see American drivers. For a very long time it was mostly American drivers and in AOWR people want to see more American names. In the sports heyday it was about 75% American and now it's more like 25% with many foreign drivers buying their rides. 50/50 would be good. The guys from ALMS would be welcome. Hopefully with this new car and motor bringing the price down we will see a 50/50. Don't take it personal.

Since this post has nothing to do with Danica or perfume. I guess Paul Tracy is another one of those damn foreigners... Isn't Mario Andretti one of those foreigners. Really anyone in North America an immigrant descendant. If you want common names in racing maybe it's Dirty Driving: Thundercars of Indiana that will keep you entertained.

I wish Indy had a direct path from USAC. But with the wonders that Nascar's COT has done for racing, I assume the IRL will have a comparable mediocre machine as well. Look at ASA Late Models, Junior Midgets, even Dirt Late Models. Quarter midgets with tractor trailer haulers. All these types of cars have the next greatest thing, well funded pre teens with over ambitious hockey parents. The whole "America's got talent" mentality is sad. I don't know how many kids I have seen over the years come and go. What's sadder is that when the money's gone and the kids are adults many of them have missed out on so many important aspects of growing up. Even worse some of them can't give up the dream.

It may have started in the big leagues but it carried its way on down through to all aspects of racing.

And that would be names like these right? Goux, DePalma, DePaolo, Petillo, Vukovich, and Andretti.
