I took most of Macs pictures go to www.openwheelracers3.com to see what I thought about it. I had a great time but couldnt stay for sunday, nothing missed because of the rain, Heck no the bench racing is just as good as those cars running. although those 2 roadsters #1 &16 were getting around that sad shaped track pretty darn good. I met a lot of racers I had just responded to on the net in person for the first time. The old midget display and the 2 sprinters were also great to see and talk to the participants.

Mickey Gibbs, that was it! Where did I get Bobby Gill? Who is Bobby Gill? LOL.
Anyway, I swear I still have remnants of the sunburn I received that day.

I was at both of those races along with many others at TWS. Great track, lousy location.

I don't think there is any real consideration for upgrading the track. It's paid for now and considering today's prices it was built super cheap. However, despite maps showing that it is near Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas-Ft.Worth, it is really in the middle of nowhere. No problem for avid fans. I've made many trips there from Lubbock and Amarillo, 430 and 500 miles. But to attract a big crowd, it's just too far away from population centers.

Also, the stands don't have much capacity. I forget, but it's either 20K or 40K. Even if they could expand the capacity, which wouldn't be hard (it's a clone of Michigan essentially), there wouldn't be near enough parking. And the parking lot itself is a giant mudhole when it rains.
