These wing people amaze me. They get so excited and think it is great racing when two cars go side by side through one corner. I guess it is a rare occurence in a wing race. I admire Schatz but wish someone else would win to get a little variety.

Win racing is boring.

From what I heard from my updates it was like a 3 car battle for 4 laps until Schats cleared the them with 5 to go. Sound like a decent race ..

Or in the words that I just received in a text ... "It was Awesome" This came from a guy who makes his living driving non-wing cars. Great racing is great racing, winged, non-winged, dirt, pavement .....

3 wide with 5 to go / Kinser from 20th to 8th at one point / Dude from 17th in the B to 11 or 12 in the A ?? Shane Stewart top 5 , There had to be some good racing going on.

Darn wingers. How dare they infringe on the almighty non wing racing by putting crutches on top of the cars?????

Save it. How about you appreciate both of them? Equally great and exciting forms of racing

Tim, guess I should have been more specific and said the announcers and not just wing people in general. I am sure there was some good racing through the pack, but according to the play by play, Schatz reeled in Saldana and passed him in open track in less than a lap. Either not much of a battle there for the win, or a very poor job of calling the action.

I appreciate all forms of racing. They are both exciting in their own way. The wing guys have to pack a huge set to run that fast all the time. I do not look at the wing as a crutch and understand that it creates a totally different set of challenges for the drivers and teams. There just doesn't seem to be near as much passing or battles for position as in Non-wing racing. One of the wing races earlier in the week had the top 6 or 7 finishing exactly where they started. I heard there was one pass in the entire field under green flag racing. Not real exciting unless you just want the pure speed.

That's intelligent.

Instead of making a post like that which does nothing to change my opinion or make your position any more valid,
why not use your post to try and change my mind. Tell me why you like wing sprint cars better, which by your username you surely do. It doesn't have to be an argument either, just a friendly discussion.

If on the otherhand you cannot have a discussion without resorting to name calling or flaming me, then please do not bother.
