Checking the shelves I have 3 more of these bad units.
guess I'll have to quit buying my racecar parts at wal-mart!LOL:rolling:
As I read these, I wondered if you were running the Fram Filter in question. That could have been much worse than it was for sure.
He did a great job of keeping her out of the fence, and gettin her whoa'd up with a face full of smoke and fire.

Check your Oil Filters

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Huh I think you'll find Fram filters on 80% of the sprint cars out there & most are the hp4

About 1% of sprint car teams (WoO & USAC) use Fram. (junk)

I would say 99% use a K&N oil filter.

Look around the pits next time and you'll see.

Thanks.

I tried to share some information that may help save a racer a motor or worse. It does not have to be turned into a :angry-smiley-007:over which filter brand is better. Please!
Hey Gary! Sure makes you glad you tried to help, doesn't it?

The poster that said cut a WIX and a Fram and take a look is 100% correct. The WIX is ten times better of a filter. All you have to do is take a look and you willl never buy a Fram again.

Most racers use WIX, at least all that I know do. No one uses Fram in a race car unless thay are unknowledgable. Is Fram a foreign product:thumbsdown:???

Fram Filters are manufactured by Allied Signal which is a subsidiary of Honeywell. Honeywell is located in Morristown NJ. so it is a domestic company.

No, I don't work for them. Several people here know who I work for.

I just looked up the information on their website.

Glad to see a few guys have checked their stuff and found that they were in posession of these faulty units.

WBR, sorry I didn't get this found before you went to Florida.
Glad nothing or no one was hurt.
