TG embraced the short track crowd when he needed them, then shunned them. He pizzed off the CART fans. then welcomed them with open arms, but they probably still don't trust them. Probably not the greatest recipe for success.

I don't really think putting the bean counters in charge will be the long term solution. What will untimately be the solution I couldn't really venture a guess at the moment.

To be honest, where were the short track fans for the IRL races of the 1990's?

Empty seats by the thousands at Phoenix, New Hampshire, Dover, Colorado, Atlanta and Las Vegas is what I remember.
