The ******** about putnamville is getting old. We all know ole' D.A. doesn't care about the racers he just likes to make money, the facilites are *****, he doesn't have the equiptment or the personel to properly take care of the track. Bottom line is same story in the same book, we have been given a new choice in Danville with Joe Spiker. Make no mistake I HATE Dave Allison he's an arrogant ass!!! Spiker cares about the cars/teams/drivers, he pays more money and he wants everybody to have a good time and come back to Danville the next week. So this is really a non issue in my opinion.

TRUE!!! VCS is a great place to race, friendly, always listening for advice and concerns. Joe is out and about shaking hands asking opinions...things are well on there way at Danville. LPS...just a hole. Those arguing for it are the regulars...which are far and few inbetween. Those who haven't need to go to Danville, great place... simple at that.

Here is the way I see it. The track was rough all night even after they "worked on it". I have never just gave up in my racing career, but I did saturday (I pulled in on about lap 15 or so). I would rather stand in the cage with Josh Kinser with my hands tied behind my back. A lot of people make fun of those who go run paragon for 500.00 to win but at least your not checking over everything for bent and broken parts (already found two radius rod bolts bent). If they would put some effort in that place it would be a fun place to race, get that stupid looking monster truck/water truck/ or what ever the hell that thing is off the track it bounces up and down horribly that is one reason it is so rough (there is a reason the pac man truck at bloomington has such a long wheel base) the other reason is no track prep. I'm not saying I will never be back but I won't be there until they learn to do some track prep. I work and prepare my race car every week (about 20 hours on the car weekly) why can't they do the same. So I guess until they can figure out how to fix that place I will go to danville or somewhere else when paragon is not racing.

I have to agree nick. Track looked pretty bad and grounds as well. I'll give them benefit of the doubt, the rain didnt help matters for a smooth track. But, I think if they invested in proper equipment it could be smooth. One thing I noticed, fence is about to fall down on the backstretch with big gaping holes in it. A car could get in the pit grandstand off 2 very easily in my opinion. This issue should be addressed. Announcer kept saying how nice the racing surface was. That was very irritating to hear. The best thing about the place was the starts they didnt jack around much when cars came out. They had them lined up and ready to go. I dont know what the problem is over there. They either don't care about the track prep situation or dont know how to prep. Seems like each year it gets worse less fans and sprints. Its a shame! My two cents about the place.

I haven't been to danville yet ...is this the first year for them running a constant sprint car schedule???.... I look at the results weekly...and the quality and quantity of drivers seem to improve by the week!!!.... P-ville is terrible never will go back!!

the track prep at Danville is kick butt in my opinion ( if you dont mind black slick ) and the pay is one of the best around. The problem with LPS is they dont care about the drivers, fans, etc...if they did they would mow, use a weed eater, fix the nasty bathrooms and all the standing water in front of the back stretch grandstands is a health issue as well not to mention the track is rough as hell. I live 10 minutes from there and I drive a hour and a half to Danville....the biggest reason is they show respect to everyone and my crap doesnt get torn up! Oh the food there is cheap and good! no worrying about getting food poisioning from uncooked food. Its a shame that LPS is the way it is....been going there since I was 4 with family that raced there but the last 3 years I havent ran a handful total. I think I'm like the rest of the people around there...hoping it will get better and then Sunday morning rolls around after a run there and my car plus my body tells me to go elsewhere. Maybe someday it will be the premier track it was in the 70's and 80's like everyone remembers.
