I actually ran that race at the Salem fairgrounds. It is a small bullring, but it was fun to race.

Yes we ran our first Support Series race at Thunder Valley, Salem, Indiana in 2004. It was a mid week race with a rain delay. Thanks to Mason preparing the track after the rain, it was very good racing. They would not schedule this season, for he said he did not make a profit at that race. Alot of fans did not stay because of the rain. I would really like to worked it out for race dates for it was a very nice track in a good location.

We have just signed Charleston Speedway, Charleston, Illinios for a race date on Saturday May 16. Also, I am working with the web master and our web should be up by the end of this week. SCORAracing.com

I made a mistake on the Charleston, Illinois date, it will be a week earlier on Saturday, May 9. This should be our first race of the 2009 season. Eighteen races are on the schedule at this time.

Charleston is a third mile, semi banked. It will probably get slick. We ran there with MSCS and it was another promoter, but it got slick.

charleston is pretty close to the same size has danville speedway and has with most IL. tracks dry slick is the norm unless mother nature waters it for them and then let the real racing begin.A good example to use it look at the shows at flora speedway last year first race already rubbering down on hot laps and pretty much down the second race good ol mother nature gave them a free blueprint on how to prep the track for sprint cars now this year it will be interesting to see if they learned how to do it without mother natures help.

Sam, your killing me. May 9th is Eastern IL University graduation in Charleston......and my baby girlis finally getting her diploma.....I hope it gets over early. BTW I had fast time when we ran that MSCS race in 2002, breaking the track record held for 30 years by some guy named Bubby Jones.
