Great job Sammy!
On a funny note, Cole, my 12 year old son told me before the a-main that he didn't like Sammy at all!

The Bondio cars are specially built for the Chili Bowl, no matter where else they might race them. Also, Sammy Swindell's car IS a specially built car and is NOT a conventional car. Just because the frame is a Spike, it sure doesn't mean it's a normal Spike from front to back.

Since you named this thread "For the Sammy haters...", I'll comment. Now, my mother always told me not to "hate" anyone, just dislike them very much. So, with that being said, here are my thoughts. Sammy has all of the talent in the world, that's obvious. However, his attitude and personality leave a lot to be desired. Kind of like flipping Stenhouse "The Bird" for a racing accident. That's just my opinion...

the number of cars there in the high 600 and low 700 lb range would blow your mind

Any resemblance between midget racing and what goes on at the Silly Bowl is purely coincidental. Great circus show and entertainment and that's it.

I want to know what your definition of "conventional" is... The Bondio cars are the least "conventional" midgets I've ever seen. The car Kruseman won with is no longer ran at the Chili Bowl in favor of the new non-downtube cars ran by Cory and Jerome Rodela... motorcycle wheel and tire or not, the car Cory won with was in no way "conventional"! ...By the way, this is the second year the Bondio cars have run square fuel cells with a phoney traditional cover-up.

It's purely coincidental!!! hahahahahahaha What's really bazaar is that the other 292 keep coming back there thinking they are going to win it. Most of them have an addiction to the event that they can't shake. Yeah... next time will be better... and it never is.

When I speak of "Conventional" I speak of the "normal" body panels and a traditional fuel tank.

When Kruseman won his CB's, it was before the motorcycle tire, the ski, the square fuel tank, the power steering reservoir being integral in the chassis and the "spaceship". Other than it being a Bondio fabricated chassis, everything else was pretty much straight forward, off the shelf parts.

Don, I wonder what your deal is with the CB. I saw your name plastered on Critter's car there for a number of years..... Did you just get tired of losing???

I love a circus! For you that must have been hiding in a cave, my team just completed the five race indoor Rumbles series. With the superb Geoff Kaiser at the wheel, we were one of a few that made all five feature events AND we finished second in the owners points out of forty some cars that competed. So... yeah... I'm tired of losing!!! hahahaha

Not calling you a liar Don, but I refuse to believe this until I see it with my own eyes.

A 600 pound midget? That's like an 850 or 900 pound sprint car....
