Sorry. Unless you were there, it's hard to say "such a better race". Watching on FLO you couldn't see the side by side, wheel banging, slide jobs.

I'm amazed the amount of complaining and crying about this race. Ticket price, yeah expensive. $40 GA, I'll live. Parking price, I'll skip a lunch or two. I brought in my own drinks and food. I'm 69 years old. Still have a part time job to pay for my hobby. The stands were nearly full, so I guess the event will be considered a success.

One caution in the first 5 heats. Side by side racing. Slide jobs. Grant and Seavy side by side down the backstretch without wrecking. Did you all listen to the post race driver interviews? Grant thrilled. Robert thanked IMS for having everyone and giving the drivers a chance to race there. Said it was the best lighted track he's raced on.

Amazing how you can't please race fans. Too much complaining about ticket prices, parking, track prep, walking too far, calling a rainout. I'm just thankful I went, and based on the crowd, so were the others. Guess the first ISW race that the leader leads all 30 laps the complainers will be back out. Enjoy sprint week everyone.

Please educate me here. What other three tracks can you go to that has reserve seating for thirty dollars a race? Using the 90 dollars at the price point.
Or if you want to compare apples to apples. What three races can you go to that the combined cost for 40 dollars general admission?

Thank you in advance.

I felt the same as you. I’m glad I went. The racing was good. If it’s on the Sprintweek schedule next year (and I hope it is) I will go again. As for the cost, I took my family out to eat twice last week and spent FAR more $ than what I shelled out to IMS on Thursday.

I purchased my tickets and parking pass through the IMS app. Because I used that app, I received an email yesterday from IMS asking me to complete a survey on the fan experience. I filled it out. If anyone received the same email, I highly recommend to fill it out too. The survey consisted of about 50 questions and it took me 10-15 minutes to complete.

These surveys are reviewed and changes just might be made here and there to make things better. As for the cost of tickets and the parking situation, I don’t expect too much to change there, but you never know.

One of the questions was “Do you prefer the grandstand on the backstretch, where it is now, or on the frontstretch, like it was in 2018 and 2019?” From a fan-comfort perspective, I would love for the stands to be back on the fronstretch again. That setting sun needs to be behind us, especially in July.
