Sounds like a perfect storm, no pun intended. I’m not sure I agree with Adolf about the Flo part, but I have it on good authority there was no good way to get to the track. Also, don’t they have a curfew? The pictures I saw, I believe they could’ve raced, but how long after they get the track back would it go. 🤷

I was at the track and put my seats up at 2 pm. They was putting water on the track and it was 88 degrees out. It rain hard for 5 minutes. Then sprinkled. Then rain light for maybe 10 minutes. I could not believe they called it off. I went and pick up my seats and there was a few puddles on the track. This is BS They had about 30 campers and many hauler in the pits. I don't think they even tried to run the track in. Fans and team owners work hard to be able to go to the track. When they cancel because of what they did tonight is Bull crap. Okay Spridge please tell us the reason why u cancelled.

On the track's Facebook page, they claim that USAC made the decision to cancel tonight. And someone scolded me saying the same thing. It's too bad.... It's turned out to be a nice evening. Sad to lose a national event with no chance of rescheduling.
I work on west side by airport and it came a heck of a storm and lots of rain . It was very short and sweet but dumped a lot of water.

Thanks for a live on-site report. I just can't believe a series and track would cancel a national series race on their biggest week of the year, without trying. The Circle City Facebook message said: Tonight's events have been canceled due to weather conditions coming in. 10:30am Wed morning and we're all still waiting for the mysterious weather conditions to arrive. 🤔

After thinking about it some more, maybe it was a last minute cancellation, when the powers that be realized that there was a Stevie Nicks concert last night, and they wanted to go to that…

I was on my way to the track, when I got a call telling me it was cancelled. We got hit by some really heavy rain just before we got to Tipton. We drove in it for 10 minutes. Got a call. Turned around and drove 15 more minutes in rain. Had never rained when I got back to town.
Man, I was disappointed they didn't run, but I understand it. They are on a short leash with the neighbors. They have to be very aware of how late they run, especially on a weeknight. Even with it being MidgetWeek, this is a big payout for them on a Tuesday. They need every butt in the seat they can get.
Throw in 465 is closed. I guarantee that will cost them some people. Then people get off work not far from there, and its pouring, and they say, with the rain it will be a late night, if they get it in. It isn't worth it to deal with traffic. Just head home and watch it.
Disappointed they didn't run? Yes. Upset? No.

Brent, I agree with you! I think all of those things you mentioned went into the decision making of cancelling the event. I had to navigate that 465 mess last week and sure it will be that way all summer.

In the announcement DOT said 3 weeks in each direction. We will see.

Probably a good call judging by the crowd at Larryburg tonight.
