I was a Liaison for a supplier at the local Chrysler plant for a few years (on a good night - with no problems - I could read almost a full SC&M mag or NSSN...were good times!...); every bolt that was torqued was recorded electronically. If there was an issue the team leader received notification and had to chase it down/correct it and sign off on it. U'd think we could be close to this technology on the guns and uploaded into a system? (even if they had to have wire attached to the air hose...). Couldn't cost more than a whole new race car. I'd think F-1 would have it if anything...
