Man, I haven't been since the Powri days of ten hotlaps, ten heats, five qualifiers, three b's and a fifty, lap A but the breaks were short and I was at the hotel a half hour south by 11pm

Great show, especially if the weather is good enough to open the back doors. not much fumes.

I sure hope not. Those that attend Friday should not be able to save seats for Saturday.

I've attended all the POWRi/USAC midget events but one at Du Quoin dating way back to when they raced in the SIC during the Du Quoin State Fair. There have been a few marathons (one of the first USAC sanctioned shows lasted a full 8 hours) but not all that many and generally the midget A-main is well worth the wait!

In reference to the blankets we're not fans of allowing them to be left in place over night, either. However, if the promoter allows it we want to have a spot blanketed.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
