I went to EIU and still never made it to this track. I’m going tonight, though, hope it’s a good one.

For those about to rock, we salute you.

I was all set to go over last night, then saw an update from WAR/POWRi in the afternoon with a "track prep underway photo" and it looked very dry in the photo, and that changed my mind on going with the hotter weather and wind. So just a suggestion to WAR/POWRi.......Use a better photo next time. As Aero always says "When in doubt, get the water truck out."

I agree!!! The show moved along timely and enjoyed the Late Models also.
I look forward to more open wheel shows from Sam in the future.
Heard over RE radios all parties were very happy with almost everything.

Those negatives only being lighting adjustments to track and long, long line at ticket booth.

With No scanner they required the the purchaser to show ID for ALL tickets purchased.
I for one will be glad when this online deal goes away with all the upcharges and Admin fees that are added on.
But hey at least we can go racing! Very Thankful for that.

Peace & love to all.
God bless our Troops at home and abroad.
INDY1808 SEE YOU AT THE RACES !

Both open wheel races were good ones being decided in the last three laps. The racing in the POWRi midgets was intense with Buddy Kofoid throwing some monster slide jobs on Jake Neuman with Neuman responding each time. With two to go Kofoid threw slider in turn one & had lead in turn two when Neuman bobbled and Kofoid was gone. In WAR sprint feature it was wild also. Terry Babb took lead in big scramble up front and promptly tagged turn two wall and flipped. Mitch Wissmiller, Riley Kriesel and Shane Cottle battled it out tooth and nail over the remainder of the event. Cottle went to the front and took away Kriesel's high line and led until three to go when he slipped in turn two opening the door for Kreisel who took full advantage of the slip and went out front and held off Cottle and Zach Daum for a good win. Both features were exciting and well worth the two hour ride to see them.
