Are you the promoter? Why dont you call Dave and tell him you will take the monetary risk if he runs tomorrow. Also it is a county owned facility so its not just his decision to make. Maybe you should take the time to get all of your facts straight before you post. Its a business dude.

Being honest with you? It's not simple and not simple at all, Especially for the Burg. Some tracks can get away with 10-20 employees, Burg probably has about 40 or more that all would have to change plans and many can't for Sunday. At least three Paid security police.

And last but not least, Short notice reschedules often have less than half the attendance.

Three gates, 6-8 employees
4 Concessions. est 20 employees
Scoring and announcing, Im guessing 3-4
Scale house tech. Probably 4
Track personnel/flagman, Probably 5
3 police if not more.
This doesn't include grounds crew that cleans on Sunday and wouldn't be available during the week. And other assorted people, That mow the whole speedway/fairground, Stock the pit and turn two concession etc.

Oh and LBURG Safety and push truck crews, ambulance and fire truck

Im sure Im missing something. I know first Sundays of the month, The fairground area is a nuthouse on Sunday with the antique thing. There are other things that go on, on the grounds as well.

Great move by the Burg. They could'hv easily made us all drive down and buy a pit pass. A rainout was all but assured. As a bill payer I appreciate the early call. Although it ended in yard work. See ya next week

At least you have some Sunday options. Toledo has a solid field of Silver Crown cars entered. So far Kokomo is still running, and have BOSS and FAST running. Disregard on Kokomo. they rained out
