39 legit efforts at Anderson last May...I know we would be lucky if half of them make it to Winchester, but if it is a 1-2 time a year special; plus limited races at Anderson, couple more here & there, maybe it can continue to revive itself, JUST like Silver Crown racing did...time will tell..
When Winchester was doing the face book live, one of the guys mentioned the names of 23 drivers who said they would be there. Some said they needed a ride, would be there if they did.
Toledo may be an indication of the car count at Winchester. One of my all time favorite things to see. Sprint cars at Winchester, then kokomo. Retire the next weekend then my first trip to Knoxville for the usac show. Can't wait!
LOL. Whatever fraction 19 or 20 of 39 is then. I almost didn't pass High School cuz of math (after getting kicked out of a class, days after my great grandpa passed, I left school & headed to the local army recruitment office...I walked in & everything, but wasn't man enough to ever sign up - mostly cuz I wanted to race. Forever respect & appreciation for those that have served, continue to, or will! & I'm sure they were all smarter than I too!), so somebody else will have to do those calculations; my guesstimate is possibly somewhere between "28-36/64s"?...lol
It has to start somewhere. The Anderson count got better and better last year. best way to support the return
of pavement racing is to attend .There may not be 30 this year, but lets hope the count improves the following year. This wont
happen overnight, but lets hope it succeeds.
