Ok. I’ll say it again.
It’s no coincidence that almost all tracks in Indiana pay the same purse for a weekly show.
The new owner of Gas City has an opportunity to make a positive change by paying $2k to win.
Then, maybe, just maybe, they will all bump their purses up.
Most tracks paid $1000 to win in 1990.

Lots of tracks out there for sale. We can all keyboard what should be.
If you want to see it happen, make it happen.

Many of the tracks do not make a profit on a regular show's gate and purse. Its the tracks sponsors that keep the gates open or a stacked back gate.

Be honest with you I am ok with $1500 to win, just get the start money up to $250 to start and a $100 for NQ.

Just sit tight and wait for the fella to post a schedule and get a website up. Wish the guy the best at keeping the track open. Can't wait to see what he's got going on at the track this season for weekly racing and special events. Guess will all just have to wait and see what he's decides to do during the 2018 season. Either way I'm happy the track is back open on a weekly basis. USAC Sprints, BOSS Sprints, & Kenyon Midgets are already on the schedule. Makes one wonder what we might see at the track this year.

2025 Season - TBA

Racers tend to race where the track is the most fun, well prepped and has the right atmosphere.
Hardly anyone races to earn money, they race to have fun and not lose a ton of money.
I'd much rather race a track where I can have fun, not tear up equipment and be respected by the promotor as opposed to a track where the purse is higher but everything else sucks.
That's what racers want.

The best thing we as racing fans can do, is support the track when it does open. Everyone plan on a couple trips to see some top notch racing, help keep racing alive and well. Win-Win!

Ohio based NRA 360 group is off that weekend so should be a solid field of cars. GLSS then moves on to Plymouth for Saturday night to complete the Indiana Double.

Anyone have an update? It’s hard to attract new teams when there has been no communication regarding classes. Not necessarily looking for dates, just an idea on if they plan to run midgets and how often.
