Fortunate and thankful to say that I've seen them run during their prime, although in truth I probably caught Ferkel at the tail end of his.

The content and order of the top 5 will be debated until the end of time, but I think it's safe to say that Steve Kinser and Doug Wolfgang will be in most everyone's top 5.

Thinking of it a bit more, the top 4 are fairly obvious with Steve Donnie Doug and Sammy. I think Rick Ferkel is a great submission but he probably won as much without a wing as with. I don't think Mark Kinser ever ran without a wing,but in his career he won a lot. Good discussion after the top 4

May not be a popular choice but I think Bobby Davis Jr. should get some credit for his accomplishments. In the 80's he was right up there with Swindell, Kinser & Wolfgang. He was always near the top of the standings when he'd run the full schedule with the Outlaws.

Wolfgang is fifth. Mark Kinser is fourth. Saldana is sixth with 99 wins, he could pass Doug with a good season.

Something to keep in mind is Wolfgang only ran the full Outlaws schedule how many times ? 3 or 4 ? He pretty much ran where he wanted.

Mark ran some non wing in the early 80's around Indiana.
