It was arguably the race of the year last night Macon. Wright City, MO’s Adam Jones, who I don’t believe has ever won a sprint car A main, held off Parker Price-Miller and Brady Bacon to win the 25 lap MOWA Illinois Speedweek feature. PPM had a commanding lead, but with two to go, spun in turn one, did a 360 and kept going. This allowed Jones to squeeze past and take the lead. PPM made one last stab at the leader with a slider in the last corner. At the same time, Bacon, who started in the last row, put his nose in the mix as well as they raced down the front chute to the checkers. It was a photo finish at the line.

Best of all, even though it was a six division show and the sprints ran their feature fourth, I was walking out the door a few minutes before 10 (a first for me at Macon).

Adam Jones has won 360 races before...he actually won the very first Jesse Hockett Tribute race at XX Speedway in Missouri just after Jesses untimely death.

And he had that same ASCS legal 360 in the car at Macon saturday night...gotta love the short tracks.
