Mike maybe you just need to wait until the day after the race to check results if you don't like the chit chat. This isn't a results only board it's a message board in which we like to visit on from time to time. The updates are an added bonus that we are lucky to even get from anyone and the majority of us like to visit during those updates. Sorry if the visiting doesn't fit into your time table.

It's selfish for a handful of people to take up an entire thread, meant specifically for race results, for useless chatter. Ever notice how big the threads are at the beginning of the night and at the end? There's a hell of a difference. Most of the people just get tired of clicking through 8 pages between heat 1 and heat two. I actually appreciate how Fred Zirzow does it. And he didn't even have to be rude or insult me to do it.

Use chat rooms, use PMs, make all the threads you want but you're driving people away from this board because of your precious clique mentality.

I don't know of people running in droves to go away from this board. Most regulars know that the updates will be on one page like Fred does it. When someone gets on and they can't find the updates we are usually really glad to tell them what page they are on. That way you can bring that page up and just stay there. Most of us open two windows and keep one on the results page and the other on the page where we can talk to each other. I just can't believe you have such a problem with this. Most of us have been here for awhile and you come on here brand new trying to tell us how to do things. That is very offensive. I am sorry, but, that is how it comes across. There is nothing wrong with us chatting even in a results thread. Anytime you sign on and you want results please come to the last page of the thread and ask and we will be happy to help by letting you know which page you should tune into.

Was this intended for me, if so, my response was for Mike McCormick. I guess I should have quoted his response about us chatting and him having to hunt for results. I was trying to be nice and let him know we would tell him what page the results were on so he could focus on that and not be bothered by our chatting. However, I see he has already signed off, who knows whether he read my response or not. And, it has nothing to do with Jerry not caring how Ron lives his life, I was not sure how this got around to the chit chat thing again myself.

If all I wanted was the results, I would go to Hoseheads . The conversations and chit chat reminds me of the small talk in the stands between races. It's all good. IOW is as much about the racing community getting together as it is about the racing results.
