I don't believe it is asphalt. I believe it is new dirt separating from old dirt underneath.

Any idea how much dirt they put over the asphalt when they converted the track? Would be interesting to hear some of the drivers comments on how the track held up and tire wear and such.

It was the pavement. There was a big patch with a white painted strip on it going into one.

It is asphalt that was showing on the track. They have had the same problem earlier this year. They need to get better clay with more than a 6" base. The track would be for some good racing if the cushion would be closer to the wall.

was a good race ...it sure looked like pavement from the stands..
great race track...need to do away with the small track ...make the big track wider ..will be a great dirt track ...nice seats to watch a race ..great food ..easy to get from the parking area for us old people...ready to go back for a good sprint car race ...

Even with the Asphalt coming thru it was one great feature. It was great watching the top 5. Hopefully they get the dirt to stick down the road

Wonder just how much Gorilla Glue it would take to make that dirt stick to the ashfault? Might be a good advertising gimmick for them! Bob
