Because your way takes about 15 minutes longer and takes people right past St. Rd. 48. (which comes out onto US 50 just 3 mins from the track, where 350 comes out onto 50 is still about 8-10 minutes from the track and 3 times the amount of traffic lights!
Trust me, I've been making trips to Sunman and Batesville several times a week for many years, I don't even take Rt. 1 when it is open.

Thanks. Be safe in your travels.
Kim, never took the other route you mentioned, but took 350 many many times, hit as much as 70mph a lot of times. It is very smooth and wide, only got like 2 stops on the route.
But I don't live down there either.

Thanks for the info. We are stopping at IMS on the way between Kokomo and Lawrenceburg. So looks like this will not affect us anyway.

Whether you come from Kokomo or Indy, you will end up going East on I-74, so this is the way you will go.

I highly suggest following the 101 west Sunman Exit to 48 south, NOT 46 I 74 is getting resurfaced in the east bound area at the 275 split. THE BACKUP AT 11am Saturday was 7 miles. USE KIMS INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

No delays going westbound so the highway should be to head back west after Burg.
