[quote=Racerrob;335259]Just to clarify, we did not get a flat right rear in the heat race. We broke the drive shaft and had to replace it and the entire rear end. We just barely got to the track in time for the B not having time to put on all the body panels or even the RR wheel cover!! I cannot give my guys enough credit for busting their butts especially since 4 of the 6 crew members are over 62 years old.

August got a job at the Milford Rave Cinemas and had to stay home to start working so he couldn't make the trip. They needed to find another tough, young, strong 16 year old crewman to fill in but couldn't find one so I was recruited to help out at Port Royal and Susky...They said I qualified for the job because mentally I am still 16!!

Our average crew age was 59.16...if they would have given out an award for the oldest crew we would have won that in a run away!!

I hate Time Trials, but if you ever get a chance to see a video of time trials at Port Royal this past week, take a look. The track had a single groove that had right rear tires against the fence around each turn.

That's because that was where the only moisture on the track was... 1 foot from the wall to the wall lol. They sealed it the night before preparing for rain that they barely got so after the first hot lap session it was an ice rink already. (except for that strip 1 foot from the wall) They reworked it after time trials to make it better
