And it was absolutely gorgeous in Wisconsin over the weekend. Couldnt make it to Indiana for a racing weekend, so had to settle for wingers at Beaver Dam instead. Hell of a finish at least

A buddy of mine that lives in Kansas City called me about 5 weeks ago and had found airline tickets to Indy for 137 bucks round trip, so we decided to make the trip for the 3 nighter. I made arrangements at Openwheel KT's for accommodations in Noblesville for the 3 night stay. I had been to Gas City a few years back for Sprintweek shows, but the other 2 would be new tracks for me. I knew as soon as we drove up the hill at LPS that I was gonna like the place, and the only disappointment was the rain that came. When I told Joe Spiker that I'd been to 109 tracks, he asked me where his place ranked and I told him it was very near the top at this point in my life. The layout and RV area is really awesome in my thoughts, just wish I coulda seen the final result. He made the right call in my opinion as when we did finally leave and head to Indy the rains were getting heavier. By the time we got to Kelly's Pub, the rain had subsided. Then woke up Sunday morning to look on my phone and see that TH was cancelled. I did bring some great memories back to Wichita that include getting to meet and visit with new friends in Tim Watson and Danny Burton. Along with old friends that I hadn't seen in years since moving west including Barney and Obie. KT did show us some new places that I had never been to, Charley Brown's was really good, and we seen Sarah's new shop and a 2 seater Indy car at Dallara. Bottom line, don't feel too bad about bringing the rain from Wisconsin Tim, as we had a great time !

I'm not so sure it was all Tim's fault. The rain seemed to be coming from the Kansas/Missouri area. Man, what a trip it was though. Really wanted to see SC at THAT. Don't worry Indiana....I'll be back!
