Why does them guys with a Winters rear end's have to run a lower gear than them with an Acro rear end? Are the Winters just that much too heavy or something.

Well I ran an 8.6 to an 8.9 with a Winters though.

we always ran 8.87, but we never played huggy pole either!

No DAD, it may look like the Winters is heavier, but in reality there is little difference, in fact you might be surprised, now I know this will trigger another argument, but it is what it is, lots of magnesium and hollow pcs in the Winters. Duz that help? Bob

No, not at all, it depended on the track condition, and if I was running a 71" RR, or a 67-68", usually turned the Honda about 10600, with the 600 Yamaha, a 67"RR and a 10.4/10.75, we usually turn 13500. I hope to get to the "new" track before long, I just got my diesel back yesterday, had some paint work done on it, and as soon as Kyle gets his 800+ acres planted, we'll be back. With the 600, and a 68"RR we ran a 9.6 at the Burg, Madison we usually run a 12.26, with a 68"RR, same rpm, 13500/13800. Bob
