Its not about the crowds and the rims, its about the arena capacity and how lucrative the tv contract is. Its the reality of college sports now. If IU didn't want to get on board and UK can find a more lucrative deal, that's how its going to go. Look at all the schools jumping conferences if you don't believe me. The big schools know how much money is at stake with college football and basketball.

Surely, you didn't expect Cal to play his 2nd team against the Hoosiers last year, I will say, I like a team with good seasoned,experienced players,rather than mostly rookies.
You are right about Cal taking a couple of years to recover,Looks like he will get thumped a few times this year. UK & the Hoosiers will meet again sometime, it's a small world. Good luck in the meantime. Bill May |
