Hello IOW friends,

I have read all the posts above and all are good points.

I mentioned Rolling Wheels, Oswego, and Syracuse only as examples of a 3 day Silver Crown racing program. If it wouldn't be feasible, then that is simply the way it is. Would a two day Silver Crown program at, for another example, Terre Haute and the Indy Fairgrounds be a possibility? Or, is Silver Crown racing two days in a local area on the same weekend just wishful thinking? I for one admittedly do not know.

My point is this, many 'big cars' are garaged and not being raced. Therefore, would a car owner tow to a 3 day or 2 day Silver Crown racing program, rather than a 1 day show? I am trying to think of any possible scenario to where the Silver Crown owners just might pull the parked cars out and be able to race. I do know this for a fact, Indiana alone has a stable full of talented open wheelers that may or may not ever get the chance to get behind the wheel of a Silver Crown, let alone an Indy car. Everyone who reads this post has their "favorite out there."

Roy Bleckert mentioned Brett Hearn and Danny Johnson would probably have to get rides so the local NY crowd will show up to make something like this work. Well, all I can say is this, I have seen both Brett Hearn and Danny Johnson race at both Rolling Wheels and on the Syracuse mile. And, if I had a Silver Crown, I would have no problem with either of them behind the wheel. Also, if that would be all I would have to do to get the New Yorkers to see the Silver Crowners, I would consider that a good thing.

Have a good day

It was funny about the crowd at Syracuse. When the mods were done running it seemed as if half the crowd left, and another took their spot. You could definately tell who was there for what.
