I can't get into a b--- fest either cuz you are right. I have showed up a couple times with gates closed during that time also. 2 times after driving from northern Mi. 490 miles one way for a regular show to find gates closed and it be rained out Only glaring differences from those instances and last nite was instant internet access to interactive current weather radar, no such thing as cell phones, evidence as I got close to the track there had been rain, and actual physical evidence at the track that rain had fallen. Or in last nites case, that rain had fallen in the last week or two.

"hmmmmm" LMAO!! Mr. Reese, I guess I'm just curious as to why you know "why" the event was canceled???? I tried to find a screen shot of the radar at 3pm on Saturday, but I can't figure it out....., but, I will tell you that if you look back to 4/21,4/28, 6/2 and opening night from 2011 (and probably a lot more I can't think of right now) you know for damn sure we have forced races in that nobody expected us to attempt. When the call was made on Saturday there was red and yellow just minutes away. If you think with a right mind that we are going to go ahead and open the gates and put our patrons in metal grandstands that are like skating rinks when they get wet, or when there is the possibility of thunder and lightening, then you are wrong. If you think that promoters save their ass financially when you cancel an event, you are wrong! (b/c I'm pretty sure I won't be spending my week depositing refund checks from fuel, payroll, advertising, porta potty rentals, food, etc.ect.) Do you realize that 75% of a tracks expenses are incurred before the gate even opens? For your informaton, we had 2 showers last night after the gates would have been open. A canceled event is a lose/lose situation for everyone. Get over it. The worst possible scenerio for a track is when rain hits when fans are in the stands and cars/drivers in the pits. People have to wait around, people get frusterated, people get hurt in the slippery stands! So, "HMMMMMMM" Mr. Resse, why is it again that you "think" the event was canceled last night?? ![]() p.s. Mr. Reese, I would greatly appreciate it if you would change your IOW profile picture if you want to continually hate on us. Especially considering the picture is from a fishing trip that Mr. Rudisell so kindly made arrangements for you to go on. I guess we are just horrible people, eh?? |
