Okay. I was simply answering his question and that was if anyone ran on Sunday nights. Is there another track in Indiana that runs sprints on Sundays that I'm not aware of?

Discussion question. Would a track like Kokomo be able to run a Sunday afternoon show that started at say 2:00? I ask this because with daylights savings time, the races usually end during daylight hours anyway. I don't know If more fans and teams would show up if they knew they could be on the road to home by no later for 6ish. Would it effect the race track that much? Just a thought.

Sorry, I didn't mean to step on your toes. I just didn't want the poster to assume that Kokomo was still running on Sunday nights in August. The only other track that runs some Sunday night shows in Indiana is Tri State and they are a special event only track not weekly.

It's very hard to run a dirt track race anywhere in the heat of the day. It would dry out way to fast with sun and cars. Fromplaces I've been to in past and worked they tried day shows gets very dusty and slick. If you remember back last year or year before not sure wasn't there but read in here that tried to run a race at Terre Haute in middle of day drivers couldn't see 5' in front of them on a half mile let alone on a 1/4 mile. Nice thing about Kokomo is they don't waste time getting a show in. We all have jobs Monday morning.
Only Kokomo shows left for 2012 are August 23,24,25 USAC Sprints, Sun Sept 2nd then the Kokomo klash in oct 19,20.
