Well, at least the "light" is now visable in the tunnel, not so far out, that most folk with an interest in running a midget, can at least see it moving closer, instead of further out, not that I could afford one either, unless a sponsor would like to come on board, but sounds like you have a chance at least, and if the tracks will look at them as race cars, instead of "rich kids" toys, and more of them come on board, it could turn the thing around, it's still quite an investment for most racers, but at least it is visable now! Bob, You know the neat thing about these computers is that once you program them they do all the thinking for you. It knows when you are at sea level it also knows when you are in Denver. The same things goes for temp and humidity, just set it and forget it. You have no need for air density gauges weather stations and pills and things. Takes all the fun out of racing for us piddlers, we just spend more time on chassis now and don't even worry about the motor side of things. It sounds increadible but true. The problem with 1000cc midgets is nobody learns how to take care of the old mechanical injectors any more and aren't prepared to take that next step up to the "Real Midget" thing. All the fun of getting too lean and frying a motor are gone. Probably a lot of the 1000cc midget people could now see themselves in a midget's when these things get started. Because of the hard times we are in right now, now is the time to get these things going. Honest Dad himself ![]() ![]() |
