That's an option for sure, but from what I heard they make the 1200's pile on the weight. I know a guy who might be interested in your engine if you want to sell it. With a 1000's you can run every weekend somewhere and most likely twice a week if you want to travel.

is easy to police, we have a weight handicap on cars using alcohol, we weigh cars at every race.
All this being done in an effort to keep competition as even as possible.
There are clubs in the midwest that run the big motors, so you do have a choice of places to run, it's unfortunate that your car does not confirm to our rules, we welcome more competition, but, at this time I see no need to change the rule.
I wish you good luck whever you race, you must have had a place in your area where your car is legal or you would not have bought it.
If you choose, when your car meets our rules, we welcome you to race with the MMSA.

I never said you needed to change your rules and your racing sounds good, but it's not that hard to allow 1200's without a total rehash of the rules. Once again my opinion is why outlaw a inexpensive engine if thats what someone wants or has to run. This is a area where rules actually help raise the cost of racing. Weight rules are another area that I dont always agree with, my car isnt built out of unobtainium. Its built out of a shop by racers and is extremely light but safe and inexpensive. Why should someone be handicapped for being bright and hard working. Now it's go buy a whatever top of the line chassis and a new or almost new stock engine and pretty much run what everyone else is running. I'm not saying theres anything wrong with your racing or rules, I'm saying theres something wrong with racing in general anymore. We have a couple nonwing no rules races coming up in October, which anymore is plenty of racing for me. I wish you nothing but good luck with your races Bill.
