If you'd like to check out several video clips of past STN's, I've loaded them on a couple of places.

For lower-res, click (and you will see the various STN clips in the titles of the videos):

(make sure to watch the one from '07 with Shane Stewart and Jason Meyers)

For higher-res and pics, recaps and more, click:

And one note: if you like sprint car racing, you will like this show. This race nothing to do with engine size on this track, its as intense as it gets.

To all of you IOW'ers going there, have another great trip!

The STN's is prolly my favorite race to attend besides the Chili Bowl. Definitely the single biggest sprint car count I get to see all year. It's just a lot of fun to be there. You have your big $ teams but there is also a swarm of guys that are just out there having fun and it makes for a great atmosphere in the pits.

Sam Hafertepe Jr. started 3rd along side Sammy Swindell taking the lead from Brady Bacon and then held on for a hard fought win.

A couple of video clips of the opening and closing laps of the feature are currently loading to my youtube page at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/DarinShortcom

They should be up in 45 minutes or so, based on the internet connection at the hotel.

Greg Wilson (OH) recovered from a slow start in the heat to gain the final lock-in spot for the Saturday night championship feature by finishing 3rd.

Hafertepe's new Fisher powerplant was hitting on all 8 all night long - congrats on the hard fought win!
