Didn't USAC try to have teams buy new cars to revamp the silver crown series? That wokred out well for them. Are we about to see it at the Indy car level?

Big difference in USAC making the car cost twice as much than Indy making the car cost half as much
![]() Is there still a plan to have the new Champ car run next year?

Gregg, you are correct. PUT THE ENGINE IN THE FRONT!!!!!!!!!. This will be so fair for the American driver as 95% of the American drivers are brought up driving front engine cars. Rear engine cars only favor a Off Shore Drivers who has only ever driven rear engine cars. I am serious about this. I have not talked to one racer who wants the engine in the rear. What excitement this could be and so much cheaper. I want the American Driver to have the majority of the seats in IRL, not someones name I can't say. I guess I am to old and remember pushing a race car thru Gasoline Ally and looking at a full house. Scary feeling. Not scary today. Somebody needs to get to these new leaders if they really want to start a exciting series. I miss Tony Hulman and the full houses.

If they don't start racing more ovals, who cares what cars they race.
It is almost time to start a new organization again. For fun, can you imagine a 250 mile race at Indianapolis in silver crown cars? |

Foyt nailed it.
Foyt sounded a little miffed with his fellow owners. “I don’t think most of them know what they want and you can’t change your mind every five minutes” said the 4-time Indy 500 winner. |

Whether or not you agree with him, Miller isn't afraid to give his honest opinion. By the way, in this case at least, I agree with him.
