East Bay was the exact same time we figured on doing this. I took my 13 year old son to Radio Shack with me to get the cables. We got two cables, one for audio and the other is a cable that goes in the blue colored port on the computer. We had trouble at first, and our computers are all different about getting the picture to come on. With one computer we can't turn the TV on before we get to our desktop background, and with another we have to turn the TV on when we are logging in. It was trial and error and luck for us, but with the younger crowd he helped me figure it out. I hope this helps, but it is all that I understand. The guy at Radio Shack could be helpful, and we have to set our TV RGB mode. When it works, it is very enjoyable, better than any TV show, tonight is just frustrating!

Thank you, sir.

How is the picture quality on your tv? The guy at Radio Shack said it could be a little bit distorted but still pretty good. I never did get it to come in to find out.

I was really disappointed when I couldn't get it to work and I had bought all three nights. My wife has an 18" plasma monitor which is pretty good but I didn't have room in her home office to get the recliner in it. LOL!

My live feed is now working perfectly,

I'd sure like to be able to do that.

Thanks for any info you can pass on in advance.

If you have a newer flat screen tv, all you need is a regular monitor cable with both end like this.

And there should be a connection in the back of your tv for it. Then you will need a 1/8 mini jack male/male cable for the sound (or if you want to hook it up to a home theatre, mini jack to RCA). And on your tv remote should be a button called RGB or you can hit the input button until you see RGB(technically Red, Green, Blue).

If you have a different connector, it might be DVI and you will need a DVI cable (either RGB to DVI if you video card doesn't have DVI out).

My sisters tv only has DVI input.

I know this sounds sounds techie stuff and maybe hard to understand. If you were closer, I would be willing to help out in person.

Thanks terrehautian for your willingness to help out if we were closer, the thought is greatly appreciated. I'm a little techno challenged but I can usually get the result I'm looking for if I have time and the want to. The link and video you posted looks as if it will get me on my way to being wired up and watching.

I was full of it when I said I was getting the feed fine before. What I was watching was from earlier this evening and didn't know it.

Thanks again, sir.

Folks,

Sorry that the stream wasn't very good tonight. I wasn't aware that there was a problem until driving home from the event, but apparently, our Internet connection wasn't strong enough for a stream. We apologize for this inconvenience. We had several "speed tests" that confirmed we had enough bandwidth, but apparently that just wasn't the case.

Hey, things happen that no one can do anything about.

Will you be live streaming Springfield and Du Quoin? I intend to be in the grandstands for both events but some friends were asking me about it.
