Having never attended a race at Bloomington, I don't know what you'd be missing out on. But wouldn't heading to Eldora for Friday nights NRA Invaders and WoO show be worth the trip. This would all depend on if and when you plan on returning to In/Oh.
I know I'm promoting wings in Ohio, just saying big events at Eldora, the history, the place is something to take in. I'd go to the IMS Museum if you haven't been there yet. Posted via Mobile Device

You can also see TSR's newest talent Jessica Zemken, who has 3 wins, and a second in 6 starts this month.

And I'll have my rear end happily planted in a lawn chair somewhere on the Bloomington hillside, looking out over the reddest of clay and greenest of grass there is to be found at a race track. I'm a happy camper before the cars even take to the track. Miss Bloomington for the "new and improved" Eldora? Not in this lifetime

Diggsy,
I don't/can't disagree with you. Eldora is 3.5 hours, Bloomington is 5.5 hours from home. I'll be waiting out the forecast, watching 10 mod's, 7-8 late models, 13 street stocks and 17 minis. That's only 1 hour from home, and in my own country. Or I'll be watching the million dollar Legends race on Speed. You guys got it good. I've seen photos of Bloomington, and will probably watch the stream (if it's live). Hope to make it down next season. |
