I'm with you Shortbus. I got a 1974 Royce Union 10 speed with a lot of hard miles on it and it's been very dependable over the years. The shifter cable did break coming home from work right before i was going up a hill so i had to walk up the hill cause it was stuck in 5th gear.

I also have a 1993 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider that i bought new in 93 and i have finally got around to putting some miles on it after having it for 16 years.

Yeah, but how often could you stand to drive without the A/C on in Phoenix?

Then again, the AC is out right now on my Focus, so the 135 mile drive to Quincy Raceway last night for the big modified show was just a bit on the warm side.

Do you have studded tires on it for getting around after all those 10-12" snows you get up there in Cheeseland come January and February?

daily driver is a 2009 Ford Explorer with a V-6 = 17 MPG
weekend driver is 2004 Pontiac GTO = 20 MPG

Am i the only one who thinks it's odd the GTO gets better mileage? (not that I am complaining mind you)

2000 Ford Excursion = 14 mpg
2003 Honda Insight = 60 mpg
2006 Lotus Exige = 25 mpg

Those at the choices each morning.... belive it or not the Insight is driven 90% of the time.

Generally, from October to May,the A/C isn't needed much. But the rest of the year,it pretty much runs all the time! But like they say,"If you can't stand the summer, you don't deserve the winter."

Dunno the m.p.g. Don't wanna know.

Mrs. FB has a '97 Old Cutlass. Drove it 600 miles in the past 18 months.
Wants a new ride. Apparently because it would look better sitting
beside the house.

I am surprised it does also. Though my friends 2005 probably doesn't, but cam, exhaust and a 150 shot of nitrous kills any gas mpg. Dyno'd 396 motor only and 505 on the laughing gas. Runs upper 6's in the 1/8th and I forgot the 1/4.
