When I talked to him after the feature, he said it was the first time in a TQ and that he had won in karts before. It was so close between he and I think the 29m Kyle Lux, I wasn't sure who won.

Did you see the video on YouTube? There was a separate post with about 5 videos. I wonder if it shows the 360 Joe Miller did and kept going. That was cool to watch from where I was standing.

Congratulations to Tim Lynch on his first ever TQ feature win. Johnson County Fairground track record goes to Tate Martz. Way to go, Tate.

Jason Willis was the Jackson Oil Duel for Fuel winner. While #98 Patrick Bruns of Illinois IRMA TQ Series, #88 Jamie Ross of Indiana, #7 Kevin Rice of Edinburgh, IN, #23 Tim Lynch of Columbus, IN, and #24 Joe Miller of Shelbyville were the other heat race winners.

More results to be posted later today on MTQRL.com. Thanks #5G and #40 teams for hanging out and talking racing until 5 a.m. See you all at Rushville.

Top 3 was between Tim, Tate, and Nick.

I'd just like to thank the folks at Franklin, for having us, and I hope we can work together, to make your facility, once again, the place to race. I'd also like to thank the folks that spent the evening, high up on the bleachers, it had to be cold up there, I know it was cold in the pits, some cool weather for mid July. Also, to the fans, that came to the pits after the races were over, to look at the cars, and for all the favorable comments you heaped on us, it was reward enough for the time you took, to let us know we were welcome, and you would like to see us back. For what looked like it could turn into an unfavorable event, I think after the drivers had a bit of time to adapt, it turned out pretty decent, maybe a couple of gallons less water would have been nice, but it was a learning experience all around. Thanks again, all around! Bob McClure & Kyle Lux #29m Just wonder how long it will take, to wipe that smile off Tim Lynch's face?

Agreed Bob. I got there late to watch the second set of heats, but over all, what a little race track.

I had my doubts too. I saw a truck pull there in May, and the place was a solid gravel pit. What ever the track prep people did - do it again! That track was no where near the gravel pit I had witnessed during the truck pulls.

Hats off to the drivers too. Seeing some 3 wide action down the back stretch was great. The little Franklin track reminded me of a mini-chili bowl.

Sorry for my low quality video, but its all I had.

Blame this one on sleep deprivation. Tate did win it Saturday night. Jason Willis won it Friday night. Thanks for the catch.

The view was much better from where you were. I was too close and the cars looked like a blur. Thanks for the videos. Carpe Diem Productions was there taping from the lift in turns 3 & 4. Some time we'll put the info on our website so those who want to order can. I'm going to get a few copies myself.

The track was covered with gravel Friday morning. I'm not sure how Jay, Brian and the guys did it but they pulled it off. We slightly miscalculated on the water. You would think it would drain faster with all the gravel. It is definitely a learning process. I admire the track prep people who have it figured out because it's not an exact science.

I've never been to the Chili Bowl. It is always on my list but never get the break in our schedule. Hopefully next year we can go, if I'm not in the Caribbean.
