I went to an ASCOC race there back in the early 90's or so. Kevin Huntley was cutting about a 10 foot inside radius off of the inside of the track, inside of the infield track tires. I was sandblasted to death that night and there was a big fist fight between ASCOC officials and Kevin in victory lane. Those were the days. I never returned to that sand pit again.
