you read it right. a friend of ours drives a late model over there and that's what the promotor told them at the drivers meeting earlier in the season last year. i'm not going to mention the track.

I've been going to North Vernon several times a year since 1979 and I've only seen a handful of what you would call "good crowds". The place has never drawn that well.

I thought it was a great crowd for 80% chance of rain. Most promoters would have thrown in the towel at 9 am when they looked at the weather. How many times do you see 3 reds in five laps:headbang
I will be back next weekend for double sprint features:thumb |

Quite honestly, Nationwide there are a ton more Big Names in LM racing than sprints. There are hundreds of more tracks that run them and most support classes have fenders.
I don't know what last nights crowd was like. I made last years opener and it was a good crowd, Not packed like a old sprintweek show but good. Car count was about the same for that opener. The ones who raced were there for fun and competition, To shake down their car and to try to get a handle on a setup for next weekend. I wouldn't say LM fans are more dedicated. Theres just tons more of them. The track Cecil is talking about ryhmes with Torrance and if you notice their schedual. Its about two races a month. Expecially July/Aug. Chuck

With very iffy weather in the forecast, great college basketball on TV and the Indiana Boys Basketball Championships on TV I'm not surprised the stands weren't full. Tom

For me the decision was easy on Saturday, I was at Conseco Fieldhouse seeing my Princeton Tigers win the 3A championship! I plan on heading to North Vernon next weekend and the way it sounds I will see 2 Sprint features! |

Sry but a TRUE race fan would not care what classes are there if that is what keeps them from going. Just my Opinion and mine alone. |
