As for the above statement? Chuck, once you start a thread, it simply goes where people take it after the initial post. Some of the most interesting and/or controversial threads on here have been ones that evovled away from the intent of the original poster. If I find a thread discussion interesting or fun, I'll participate in the discussion. If it takes a turn in a direction that I'm no longer interested in or, it becomes offensive, then I move on. If this is simply about Clayton, then not much more can be said that already hasn't been said. End of thread. Right? If every thread is moderated and micro-managed by the original poster this would be a very boring place! |

I agree Cecil but its also easy for people and people of knowledge to overlook how the conversation is going vs say "WHY ARE DRIVERS LEAVING USAC? PROBLEMS? CURES?" Thread.

I think it was the smartest move he could make. If your going to make a living driving a sprint car then you have got to put the wing on. Period. USAC is the worst paying big time sactioning body out there. I also believe that he will be a force to be reckoned with. Maybe, just maybe USAC will take this as a sign and step up it's program. Of course that won't happen but they need to. One of the things that always makes me laugh when I go to a USAC deal, (that is still paying darn near the same purse that my dad ran for back in the day,) is you see 6 officials and 5 new suburbans and a sign that says pay entry fee here and buy your temp liscense over here. It's just way to hard to make a living running with them and it's not like they don't have the money to increase the purse to keep the outstanding talent that they have and it is some of the best I've seen. All in all I look forward to seeing Daron in a wing car, good luck to him....

I don't care if the Cowboy races with ot without the wing. We will support him and cheer no matter what. Sprint car racing needs more Daron Claytons!

Chuck that is what a forum is about. One piece of news or information can get the gears turning, and the analyzing begins. For example, one of the best and most exciting non-wing drivers in the country is leaving the sport. Upon hearing this news, his fans and non-wing fans start looking for reasons why one of the best is leaving the sport and how can we stop the bleeding? On the other hand, the otherside is happy about it and wonders why it took so long? Thus the ensuing discussion.

They have posted on here before they are running the all-stars this year along with some non-wing races to is what I read earlier.I hope they keep there website updated with a current schedule so we can know where he is racing at.I wish him good luck in 2009 and hoping some of his non-wing races will be at haubstadt so the clayton fans can see him race there again he has great crowd support there.
