Thankfully, we only got about 2.5" of new white stuff. The storm was southeast of us.
The weather-wussy was doing "the sky is falling" dance on the news last night cause it was going to be bitter cold & EVEN BELOW ZERO at the bus stop in the morning. He's funnier than Saturday Night Live. I'm sure we'll get a repeat performance tonight case it's +2* now. Somebody ought to tell him "Dude, it's winter in Minnesota. It happens EVERY YEAR!"
Hope everyone's safe. There is NOTHING worse than freezing rain...

That aint no S$#%!! I think the only way my drive is gonna be cleared of this ice is by blowtorch. Salt to melt it cant be had at any price. There is a hump of it the height of a speedbump right in front of the garage door. Glad the groundhog didnt see his shadow, we could use a little early spring.

I am normally one to like winter, but if we don't get anymore snow this year, I will be happy. I will be ecstatic if we don't get anymore ice again forever.
Well Wednesday was a real treat here in the frozen tundra. Snow, high winds, big drifts and believe it or not i had my first "snow day" at work in the 21 and a half years that the company has existed. Got a call at 4am telling me first shift was cancelled. Besides the state of emergency we were also in something called a civil defense warning. Wrecker services shut down and some of the county highway plows even got stuck. I got 15" of snow on the patio table but the wind is what really made things bad. Leaving for work this morning it was 5 degrees and wind chills around -20. Now the winds are picking up again and the county is saying some drifting is starting to happen again. On the good side it looks like we could be close to hitting 30 on Saturday which might tempt me to head to our fairgrounds for the 33rd annual Budweiser race of champions snowmobile races. They have a short video on the website if anyone wants to take a look. Go to plymouthsnowrangers.com
Ok, I am currently anchored off the island of St. Lucia in my sailboat. High of 84, low of 74 lots of tropical breezes; but I am Jonesin' for Sprint Week!
