That is about the only way for something to change, BUT, good luck getting racers to 'stick together' on much of anything.
A way to get USAC's and Hoosier's attention, is for
all pavement cars to show up at a race, and just have a cook out in the parking lot. Don't sign in...just sit in the parking lot. When a USAC official comes out and asks what is up, EVERYBODY needs to tell him you're not buying the overpriced POS Hoosier tires that USAC has made a deal forcing you to run, and you are tired of racing for peanuts. Then, climb in the truck, and go home.
Sure, you won't race that day, and will have spent travel time and the cost of fuel in the rig to get there....but you will save big $$ by not buying junk tires that day
If sprint cars are going to just get parked in garages anyway, what will be the difference?
Otherwise, if you guys keep racing for measly/outdated purses, and buying 2 sets of junk overpriced tires per race date, USAC and Hoosier will continue to treat you like piss ants.
