I believe before Purvis there was Godsey, Curry, Simpson, Bastin, Petro, etc. that used the whole back stretch. Great late model track but what a sprint car race track. The last 2 USAC shows have been awesome!!!!!

Brownstown, IN……..Brady Short of Bedford, Ind. rode the high rim past Chris Windom on lap 27 and led the final four laps to win Thursday night’s 30-lap USAC AMSOIL National Sprint race at Brownstown Speedway, round five of the 2010 Indiana Sprint Week. Short and his Indiana Stoneworks/Short Trucking Maxim/Chevy beat Windom, Jon Stanbrough, Levi Jones and hunter Schuerenberg to the checkered flag in a feature conducted under threatening skies as summer storms were in the area. Jones’ finish propelled him back into the Indiana Sprint Week point lead, 14 ahead of Short going into Friday’s race at Bloomington Speedway. Dave Darland, the point leader entering the Brownstown race, was unable to secure a feature starting berth Thursday night and is now fifth in the ISW standings. Justin Grant was Thursday’s fastest qualifier.

Hendrick is incorrect it should of been Hughes. I do have the line up but unfortunately I do not have it right infront of me.

There was no provisional for DD. Provisionals are awarded on car owner points. I don't think the Goodnight car is in the top 20 for it.

Kinda the same way Stanbrough got bit at Bloomington a few years ago. I think DD ended up winning sprintweek that year.

I think Hud Cone gets the award for most cars passed. He looked like crap in quals and the heat race. Started in the back of the B and made it up to 5th. Then started near the tail of the A and finished 8th. Overall a good race. Ready to end the week with Bloomington and Haubstadt.

Clayton not having a ride, DD not making the show and CLausen going out early sure threw a wrench in the points. 3 cars within 19 points of each other now. Can't wait for tonight. Make sure you get in line for the ice cream before Wildman92 does or ya might not get any ha ha. Her and the clan can sure put a hurtin on some soft serve
