that track prep (or total lack thereof) was shameful, one grove the whole night, no bottom, no middle/ just hideous attempts at slide jobs/ a whole lot of hype about nothing but proving that pickup trucks were made to push start race cars!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I like a heavy, hammer down track with a nice cushion, you can't have it that way for 3,600 lb trucks that ride so low to the ground! Tony and the staff did exactly what they needed to do! They made a hard slick track that took rubber and made it racy as hell as the race went on. Did you notice that speeds picked up 10-12 mph later in the feature from early in the night? This was a great event that will help the integrity of dirt track racing tremendously!
Congrats to Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson, Ryan Newman and everyone else that was a part of history!
