If you question Larry's or my IQ then it is obvious you know neither of us at all. While I have never met Larry in person we have shared message boards together for almost a decade. I think everyone has gotten in it with Larry from time to time including myself. However over the course of the last 10 years Larry has proven he is well educated and Intelligent. About every six months an English Major hops on the board and makes accusations due to spelling and grammar mistakes because they believe they are superior to everyone else and anyone that does not mirror their beliefs must be a simpleton. When forced with the reality that one of those "simpletons" has a valid point that contradicts with their view the English grad always resorts to personal attacks and focusing in spelling and grammar to try to reassert their superiority once again over the simpletons. The simple matter is no-one on this board cares about spelling or grammar and for the majority of this board we respect each other and have met several times at the race tracks across America because unlike other boards the majority of people on here consider each other friends, friends they only see a couple times a year but friends none the less. If you want to join this board and make some good friends then please read the rules of conduct. If you do not wish to obey the rules of conduct then please just go back to observing. |

It takes very little "observing" to determine that the really nice people I would befriend if I ever met them, include "The Section A Gang", DB, JS, JH, both Walls guys, DO, DM, TC, Happy, DD's sister, etc.
I certainly did not join this board, after weeks of "observing", to make friends with people like you, Sean. For some strange reason, my computer seems to start playing "dueling banjos" when you log on. |

It's amazing that the media has jumped on the Danica Story.
Or is it? Anything to make a buck and I'm sure all the newspapers, TV shows, radios and magazines, not to mention TV are making a bunch of money off her. But in reality, in the final analysis, I have always enjoyed the Indy 500. Even when it was only IRL I enjoyed it, for maybe the wrong reasons. A couple of years ago I wanted Hiro to win it. Only because he was Japanese. How many Americans want a "white" guy to win the Indy 500 only because he is American. It has nothing to do with their friendship to that person, or because he was a sprint car racer/open wheel guy from the dirt tracks of Indiana. The reason why IRL/The Indy 500 will increase in popularity this year and next is because of the merger. Danica, Rahal and all the other media stories is only the icing on the cake. You can get sick off the icing, but it you can eat the whole cake and not over endulge it can be quite delicious...lol! Sincerely, Larry Otani |
