QUESTIONS FOR BRUCE ASHMORE

1. How much do these cars cost?
2. Where can one buy a car?
3. Can the plans be obtained so that someone can build their own car?
4. What tracks will they race on and are any of those tracks signed?
5. What are the anticipated purses and how is it funded?
6. How many cars are there? Does this number include the previous
generation of Gold Crown cars? If not, why not?
7. What do you consider a full field of cars?
8. Since manufacturer logos are being put in the grills, does that mean
the manufacturers are supporting this series?
9. What is the level of support from the manufacturers?

Those are awesome questions and should probably be the basis for the entire show! Can't wait to see the new style bodywork hit the tracks.
David.

I have made a mistake, Sorry !
I said that the engine for this car was an Earnhardt/Ganassi. Wrong !

It's an Earnhardt/ Childress engine that came to Bruce's shop today for the car. Bruce also said that there will be a Yates engine on display as well at the Indy show.

Sorry for the cockup!

I'll add a few

10. is this just going to be some random races the first year or will there be a championship

11. If a championship then do you have a series sponsor and will there be a point fund

12. How will points be awarded? Bonus points for what if anything?

13. do you have a tire company on board? if so radials or bias-ply?

14. driver aids banned or allowed?

15. criteria for driver IE experience required

16. TV coverage?, for the size of tracks you are running and the costs of the cars the only way to pay the freight for the car owners will be sponsorship, and if no locked TV then that will be impossible.

17. Who will provide the sanction?

18. where will the officials come from?

19. testing and/or testing bans?

20. rookie orientation?

Here's a bit of info. Some of it is outdated such as the USAC logo appearing sporadically on the site, etc...
There is contact info if you feel motivated to call or email.
The game is pretty cool also, if you have the program downloaded, but the old style bodywork still exists in the game. (IRacing).

That's Pikes Peak which use to pay a very small amount of points toward the National Championship. One year Mario won it in a Brawner Hawk. Sorry, you can't even begin to compare the National Championship from the 60's with this new deal because this new deal will NEVER come close to what that was.........NOTHING ever will. Paved ovals, dirt ovals, Pikes Peak and road courses. A true National Championship.

What ever happened to the Galas machines? New cars with older appearing body styles. I didn't see them at any shows in 2009.
