Last word on this: USAC recently conducted races out West with a $40 non member entry fee for a purse 5 times the size of ARDC's $800 to win. that entry fee is way under what ARDC charges. Please.. no more discussion about this.

There is no handicapping in the Midwest.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Maybe there should be, ARDC seems to be the only midget club growing.

Just so you guys know. Our Midget format will be the same as our Sprint format. All cars will draw for heat race position. if there is 3 heats the top 2 from each heat will run a 4 lap trophy dash. How you finish is how you start the "A" main. The Sprint dash line up last year was set up like this. If you won the 1st heat then you started on the pole of the dash. If you won the second heat then you started outside the front row and so on.We are thinking about re-drawing for the dash but I dont know. We start a max of 6 cars only.If there is 4+ heats then we will start the winners of each heat only. The Trophy Dash is the most popular race of the night for racers and fans alike.

John,

Just my opinion, but if the trophy dash is the most popular race of the night, I won't waste my money coming to see it. I would expect to see the feature race to be the most popular. Trophy dashes to me are a waste of time and money. Few cars, little racing. Good luck in 2010 and I hope both of the series succeed.

By popular I mean that we have more positive feed back on the dash concept then any other. I have been told that it takes people back to the days of when they ran a dash. I guess it's nostalgic. It does make the feature a little more interesting then just having an 8 car inversion and the heats are a little more important. I have been told by the fans that they love it and racers that ran with us last year enjoyed as well.

I like that none of the dates so far overlap the MMSA, however I dont know if Mason will let us race both series in one night (may 8th).. -andy

I think it'd be pretty cool to see the midgets at Waynesfield. Maybe even make some kind of open rule where your sprints could run with their weekly sprints.
