Possibly thought of the fact that he knew the rains were coming and left the track hard so the track wouldn't turn to crap? If he would have tore it up and left it open and it would have been a roughed up mess, then everybody would complain about that.

I wasn't there so I don't know, but most dirt tracks that I've been to that have been threatened by rain, or rained on earlier, are sealed over so they don't get destroyed by rain.

Of course we all want the best possible track. Thats why I said I see your points. However He could have called it thrusday like a lot of others did. That my opinion. The worst night of racing is better than staying home to me. I had to do both due to working till 6pm then having to work today at 5am.
The tracks 2hrs away

Kirk, if you went to this place to see the track then maybe you went for the wrong reason, you should have gone because of the excellent bathroom facilities. How was the racing, in your opinion?

I didn't think that it rained on Friday. If not the whole day, then most of it. Plus, I didn't think the threat of rain was coming until Sunday?

Just curious...

They had almost 2 inches of rain through out the week so Im sure they left it sealed to keep it from being rough....

The day of the race, no rain in the forcast until Sunday....track prep started at 3PM...that's not good....you can't run the sheeps foot around 3-4 laps and call it track prep....no one cut the track and the amount of water put on the track was to little to help...it's has nothing to do the rain from Thurs PM or Friday AM...You have to spend the time to prep the track!! and not just a few hours the day of the race.....

A certain track in Southern Indiana starts prepping its track for its next race right after the latest event has finished and continues that track prep all the the way up until the next race has begun.

Yes we are spoiled down here and we like it. :applaud:
