To clarify, it was not the TYPE of cars, but the NUMBER of classes. I've seen great races with any type of car. I just don't care for that many classes in one night. And that is merely my opinion.

I feel that I am a true race fan & I love Sprintcars.

I live in Indy and about 4 miles from the Speedrome.

If I would not drive 4 miles to see bombers, street stocks and what ever, why would I drive over a hundred miles to see the same cars I can see at home?

A Sprintcar show is special and they deserve top billing along with an early finish time. If the promoter wants to run Speedrome stuff let him do it on his time, not mine.

There has been talk by some Mod drivers that THAT needs Mods to help the back gate. My thougt is that I am sure THAT has done some kind of research that shows draw more fans when there is no support series, that is over and above what the back gate makes.

If this is not true, why would they only run one class? These guys are not stupid, just good business men.

I remember when I could leave home at 11:00AM on a Sunday go to THAT, see a complete Sprintcar show and be home by 6:00PM. Now with all the support series you can spend 6 hours at the track and still not see a complete show.

Never compare NV to Brownstown. I live less than an hour from this track, and am a pretty diehard fan, here is why I was not there
1. the track is never good enough to run as many cars and laps as they try to do each week.
2. Both races I watched Sprints last year, I was very unimpressed by the track.
3. Because of 1 and 2 weather would have to be perfect and no other godd races going on.

I sound harsh, but have seen way to many bad shows here. I will attend a show mid season to look for improvments because I am an Optimist, but right now just not worth the money. O ya #4 tired of getting to the gate and the admission price is more than the price listed on the website. THATS ANNOYING! I will say sprint car fans are much more loyal, regular other than brownstown and lucas oil races not many tracks get a good crowd for late models.

We THOUGHT we could run just one class, there were some races last year that the car count in the one division, I.E. the Silver Crown race, and the Hut Hundred for example that proved otherwise. If not for the 56 Modifieds that showed up at the Hut Hundred, things might have gotten rather ugly.

And this past weekend at Twin Cities, The Sprint Cars were guests, I dont think you need to be blaming the support classes for the show not getting in, They werent the ones causing 3 or 4 red flags in five laps. Maybe some starters would speed up the process a little bit.

Nah, if people blow that out of proportion, then they have nothing else to do.

I know its darn near impossible for starters in Sprint Cars, just a personal wish. Im just glad someone tried to race this weekend instead of cancelling

Hats off to Mason and crew for getting the show in. And whoever goes to the track this weekend will be treated to 2 great features. Sprints do have starters, Push trucks!!

I love when people call them self fans and LOOK for reasons not attend:rolling

You guys crack me up:rolling
So here is top ten reason for not attending a sprint car race

#10 It's to cold

#9 It's to hot

#8 It may be over late

#7 It's to far

#6 There are to many classses

#5 It's to much to get in

#4 It rained out 10 years ago and I'm still pissed

#3 I hate the promoter

#2 The track is too rough

#1 YOUR A TOOL

Not making the list, track is to big, or small or smooth or dark. It's indoors.I can't take in beer. The seating is bad. It's too sunny.I have to park to far away from the gate. The parking lot is dust or unlevel or gravel:headbang

I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS SPORT IS NOT GROWING:doh:
