Rent a truck about 75 bucks, bring it down. Tag the tail of a heat, Pull in after a couple laps before your a backmarker. Their right, If anyone will do it, it would be end of season. If you ran four years in mods at Eldora. I wouldn't call you clueless.

Good luck
Here is the story you are refering to read it again:

I don't believe 1 man can do it, I tried I am the only one in my family who cares for racing or really knows anything about it. I got lucky EXTREMELY lucky to get the ride I got then when I lost it in 02 I wanted nothing more than to put a sprint together myself. I had me and my fiance and a condo with a 1 car garage, no trailer or even a truck but I was stubborn as the day is long, I did nothing but work work overtime and work on that car and put it together by reading books I had no help took me 2 years, then I read and read on how to obtain sponsorship and put proposals together. When I got my car together and finally landed my sponsor I was thrilled I was set to hit Lburg March 05, until my fiance left Jan. 05 said I spent too much time with the car, extra money from her for bills gone, wedding down payments gone! you name it! I had to sell that car otherwise I would have lost everything I had, it all was paid cash for, thank god I never ran on a card. Did I do it? yes... Was it worth it? I don't know I've still never had the chance to even push off. Anybody want to let me push off?...lmao

I did build a car Chuck took me 2 yrs. if I still had it I wouldn't be asking, but if you read the story we had a joint account and when she left she took everything and I foolishly let her manage the money, pay bills, etc.. as long as I stuck my hand out and got 50 bucks I was happy. Come to find out the house was in Foreclosure no bills were paid, Selling that car was the only thing that saved my condo and credit. Again nobody to blame but myself. I'm not looking for a ride as that would be unrealistic, if by some miracle it happened well hell yea I'd take it, but only if I earned it I'd drive anything. I was just asking for a few slow laps I couldn't live with myself if I went fast and broke something, if it happens awesome if it doesn't I already consider myself lucky because I've already done things most dream of.

Now wait a sec. here folks I'm not wanting a sob story or any pity, that is totally not what this is about at all!!! I want that clear That happened 4 years ago and I'm over it learned a lot and doing just fine, I just would like to get the feel of a sprint. Not sympathy. I'm not asking for a freebie, I can try and help with fuel or some tow money or something, I just have to watch $ more since my layoff.

Who's showing pity? I just wanted to see you get your dream realized.

Hey Rob....... FunFest at Lawrenceburg is a great time for something like that. I'd like to drive a sprint car myself..... maybe FuFest can be an opportunioty for that to happen!

I apologize Chuck I just took your post the wrong way, trust me if I had a car sitting in my garage I'd get it to the track even if I had to push it by hand.

A couple of people have mentioned funfest, I don't understand how funfest runs but to me an open practice (meaning less cars and not actual race speeds) would be better/safer on equip. than on a race night such as funfest racing with others.

At the open practices I've attended in the past there were times when 3 or less cars were on the track and I convinced my owner to let other friends/family drive the car, it was great fun and it made everyone appreciate what the driver did. The looks on their faces climbing out of the modified were priceless. Another thing I found when doing that was they got a whole new respect for racing and cut down on bleacher racers telling you how to drive....haha Which is why I thought an open practice would be a better option.

I can only imagine how you'd feel taking a few laps in a sprint. If its anything like I got from driving a street stock. Both times I got out absolutely exstatic.

My brother actually won the ride in the 2 seater sprintcar at Lburg a few years back, every once in while he'll come with me. 1st time ever in a race car, I made him buy the raffle ticket and he won. I believe he rode with either Kenny or Dean Jacobs. He said it was crazy! And didn't stop smiling for a week. We still talk about that all the time.
