BENIC/COONS Announce driving school

USAC National Champions, Jerry Coons Jr and Scott Benic, announced the beginning of a new venture together. An open wheel driving school to include midgets and sprint cars. The school will range from chassis clinics to a wide range of on track classes. Whether you want to use your car, a school car, or have Scott and Jerry come work with you one on one at your test. “I am very excited to start this project with Scott. He is extremely knowledgeable and we have worked very well together on the Silver Crown car. He can watch a car, see what its doing and what it needs better than anyone I’ve ever seen.” Scott is looking forward to adding another facet to Benic Enterprises, which currently consists of a fab shop, full speed shop, car maintenance, as well as being a dealer for Maxim Chassis. “This ties in well with my business. And Jerry is very good working with drivers. He can see where a driver needs to improve and can communicate it in a way that they really understand.” For more information contact Scott at (765) 948-5758 or Jerry at (520) 907-1006

Jerry & Scott this coming Saturday could be a big day for several kids. That's where our club will vote on going USAC for the 2009 season!!! Starla is looking for a someone to help her out and bring the track championship home for the 2008 season she's in 1st right now so far with two races left!!! But as many people know Starla could use just a little help but her crew chief is not doing the best job and needs a lot of help so Starla says. So if you not doing nothing come and help get her car set up for Saturday's point race. The race is at the Kokomo Quarter Midget Track. The meeting for voting to go to USAC will be at 10am.

Does anybody have anymore info about this driving school? Are you going to have classes for people that haven't raced before or is it more to help existing drivers get better. I was just curious because i've wanted to drive a sprint car since ive been a kid and have never had the oportunity before, i'm shure there are other people with the same desire. Thanks in advance.
